get your self some good leg warmers and waterproof over trousers. wear thick ski gloves for climing then change to your normal riding gloves for desents. if your riding cleats then i would advise getting some crankbrothers they tend not to get clogged up with snow and mud as much as shimano's. riding loose, natural trail will help you gain confidence for racing next season! i wouldnt bother with a set of spiked tyres or mud tyres as they have a terrible rolling speed but something thin and with a good edge such as "intense edge" are pretty good. set your re-bound up nice and slow for the lomey sticky trails and run nice low tyre presure. get your self a stress ball or a gyroscopic strength ball for exercising your rists to reduce hand pump in racing or use free weights and do a gradual build-up of four arm contraction, get to the point when you are begining to feel the burn in your wrists then keep going for 15 seconds and stop and then repeat. do these as often as possible.
